Drake declared Spotify's most-streamed artist of decade

Trailing behind Drizzy, the second most streamed artist of the decade was Ed Sheeran, followed by third place victor Post Malone.

The numbers are in and, according to Spotify, 2019 may have belonged to Post Malone-but Drake took the decade. Though none of them managed to out-stream the top three artists, the top three most streamed female artists of the decade were Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Taylor Swift (the latter whom removed her catalogue from Spotify for a significant chunk of the decade).

Stockholm-based Spotify, the world's leading audio streaming service, has more than 100 million paying subscribers around the globe.

In terms of individual tunes, British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran came out on top in the most-streamed song rankings with Shape of You, which has amassed over 2.3 billion streams since its release in 2017.

Riot to pay $10 million in gender discrimination lawsuit settlement
The studio has employed 1,000 women since that time, but full-time employees will receive a bigger chunk than outside contractors. Riot Games were accused of an internal culture that promoted severe misconduct in the workplace as well as gender discrimination.

Of course, Drake was also Spotify's most-streamed Canadian artist of the decade, followed by the Weeknd and Justin Bieber.

Spotify's most-streamed podcasts are The Joe Budden Podcast, My Favorite Murder, Gemischtes Hack, Fest & Flauschig, and The Misfits Podcast.

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes' duet "Señorita", released in June, was the most-streamed track in 2019.

After Senorita, the list of the most-streamed songs also included: Eilish's bad guy, Malone's Sunflower, Grande's 7 rings and Old Town Road - Remix by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus.
