Lakers' 10-game winning streak ends in loss to Mavericks

For whatever reason, the Lakers didn't begin the second half blitzing Doncic to force the ball from his hands as they did to begin the game and he exposed them. The 20-year-old posted his 16th career game with at least 25 points and 10 assists, breaking a tie with James for the most by a player before his 21st birthday in National Basketball Association history, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

If his statement ends up provoking Outkast-esque "forever ever?" indignation, it would be understandable. AD also had 10 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

So practical? Maybe not. The loss snapped a 10-game winning streak constructed entirely against teams with losing records.

"Realistic is the mindset".

After the game, Doncic talked about the physicality of the Suns and what he learned about his team on Friday. "Just having that mindset and that approach", James told reporters.

The NBA world was sent into meltdown after Dallas Maverick's star Luka Doncic burned LeBron James and the Lakers, snapping LA's 10-game win streak with a 114-100 victory. We know what type of team we are, we know now.

So far this season, the Lakers have backed up their mission to keep losses from piling up.

"Contar con 'Leo' siempre es una gran ventaja" — Ernesto Valverde
Antoine Griezmann vivió su partido aparte. "Y el público le ha pitado un poco", ha dicho acerca de la sonora pitada que ha recibido el delantero francés.

They dropped to 17-3.

It was the second time this season Doncic and James have gone head-to-head with the four-time MVP taking honours in their first clash when the Lakers won in overtime last month.

"It's a great win that means a lot to us", Doncic said. "And then finishing at the basket, some of those shots, I thought we played good defense, he just got around us".

It doesn't matter that they haven't made the postseason in six years and finished last season 37-45.

Frank Vogel discusses the #Lakers third quarter. So, I believe in our guys. The players have done a good job of building chemistry in a short amount of time, but they will need to play up to their abilities if they hope to hit their championship ceiling.

They will attempt to isolate the loss and continue collecting more wins.

"He hit a couple of hellacious shots", Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. The Lakers have to be sharper, have to clean up their play on both ends, get back to playing at an elite level, or it's going to be a long, cold December. "It shows that we can play against big teams, too".
