Chase Young to sit amid potential NCAA issue for accepting loan

No one is alleging that Ohio State spent some of its share of that TV revenue on paying Young directly.

Letterman Row, first confirmed the story that Ohio Point out defensive end Chase Youthful is experiencing an indefinite suspension.

When Ohio State takes the field Saturday in Columbus against Maryland, it will be without one of its best players. He tweeted that Young "took a small loan from a close family friend past year to cover basic life expenses". The school provided no other details aside from "the Department of Athletics is looking into it", but Young posted an explanation for the issue in a later tweet. I built a slip-up final year by accepting a financial loan from a spouse and children good friend I have acknowledged considering the fact that the summer months prior to my freshman year at OSU. According to the star pass rusher, he accepted a loan from a family friend and repaid it in full last summer. "God bless and go Bucks!"

Young is being investigated by the school for a potential violation in 2018.

"This is all I know".

In fact, it would put Young in a situation somewhat similar to that of former Ohio State teammate Nick Bosa, who missed the latter part of the 2018 season with a core muscle injury, and opted to prepare for the draft instead of rejoining the Buckeyes near the end of the season.

When Young enters the National Football League draft next year, his earnings will again be constrained because he has to take the contract that corresponds with his draft slot, rather than shop his services to the highest bidder among all 32 National Football League teams. His performance catapulted him near the top of the Heisman discussion.

Fair or unfair, Young's Heisman campaign is probably over.

Rutgers ranks in the lower half of the conference in sacks against with 19 in 9 games, which comes out to roughly 2.1 sacks allowed per contest. The rumors flying around about his possible suspension wld end all of those talks.

Young's 13.5 sacks this season lead the nation and he is second in tackles for loss with 15.5.

Young has been the dominant defensive player of the 2019 college football season.
