Kamala Harris raises $12 million as campaign continues to surge

During an interview with CNN on Friday, Joe Biden revealed that his campaign has been collecting dirt on his 2020 Democratic rivals, though he suggested he has no intention of using it.

Boosted by a debate performance that launched her into double digits in multiple polls and re-energized her campaign, Sen. "Biden thinks I'll have him as my vice president", he said of his opponents.

According to the campaign, Harris raised $2 million in the 24 hours after the first debate, the most they have raised since launching in January, and another $1.2 million online over the weekend. Her campaign says that almost half a million dollars this quarter came from its online store, which sold at least 1,400 "That Little Girl Was Me" T-shirts that feature a photo of Harris as a young school girl.

Harris must realize that her chances to be the presidential nominee are iffy at best.

"I believe there should be a woman president right now and we've worked very hard to get one, but we have such a great field of leaders", Booker told Rachel Maddow. However, to jeopardize Democrats' chances of defeating Trump by not measuring potential attacks against their own will only further damage our democracy.

"That resonated with a lot of African Americans", he said. I think it is something we should have. Biden told CNN that his stance on busing was taken out of context and that he wasn't expecting Harris to attack him the way she did.

Sabres sign Marcus Johansson to two-year, $9 million contract
While with the Bruins , Johansson played mostly down the left side and also logged some time on the power play. Johansson is a really solid player and getting him on a two-year deal is a big win for the Sabres.

Harris said the plan would help at least 4 million families living in areas that were redlined, a segregation-era practice that limited black borrowers' ability to buy homes and set boundaries on where they could live, affecting the wealth of those families for generations. The implication, though Biden never really finishes the point, seems to be that this was someone Biden couldn't have expected would ever do this to him.

The South Carolina primary is more than seven months away but Biden and Harris appear destined for a showdown there, their campaigns banking on the backing of black voters. Biden, 76, asked on Saturday afternoon during a speech in Sumter, South Carolina.

"If they like their employer-based insurance, which a lot of unions broke their neck to get, a lot of people like theirs, they shouldn't have to give it up", Biden said.

Kamala also blasted controversial remarks Biden made about working with known segregationists in the Senate at the same time. "But I think that many people can beat Donald Trump and I don't think we have to have necessarily an old, white guy to do it". "Those are Biden's guys, his men and women".

Harris' latest total is about equal to what she brought in during the first fundraising quarter, but noticeably less than some other first-tier 2020 White House hopefuls, who have already released details of their fundraising ahead of the July 15 deadline to report to the Federal Election Commission. They want to know what they're getting. "They don't want a promise of what's to come in the future".
