Hazard completes blockbuster move to Real Madrid

Hazard has signed a five-year contract to join Real in a deal that could rise as high as £150million once all bonus payments come into play.

It's been on the cards for some time now, but Eden Hazard is finally a Real Madrid player. "The player will join the club for the next five seasons, until the 30th June 2024".

He will be officially presented as a Real Madrid player on June 13th at the Santiago Bernabeu.

He leaves Chelsea having recently guided the west London club to the Europa League title, scoring twice in a 4-1 win over rivals Arsenal in last month's final in Baku. "We look forward to welcoming him back to Stamford Bridge in the future".

After more than a year of speculation amid contractual impasses and repeated hints of an exit, Hazard joins Luka Jovic and Eder Militao as blockbuster Real acquisitions in the early stages of the summer transfer window.

In an open letter to Chelsea fans published on his Facebook page, Hazard said: "You now know that I will be joining Real Madrid".

As per multiple sources, the west London side have agreed on an initial £88m package for the sale of the Belgium global, who previously had 12 months remaining on his contract with the club.

Series Renewed for Fifth and Final Season — Netflix's Lucifer
Thankfully, to the delight of Lucifans everywhere, Netflix swooped in to save the fallen angel with a 10-episode Season 4 order. Apparently, they were happy with the number of people who tuned in, as they were relatively quick to announce the pickup.

Madrid president Florentino Perez' will be best remembered for the Galáctico signings he has secured during his two tenures at the club, players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane and David Beckham - with Hazard becoming Perez's first Galéctico signing since James Rodriguez in 2014.

Across 352 appearances, the 23rd most in the club's history, Hazard scored on 110 occasions - a total that only Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard can top in the modern era.

The Belgian ended the Premier League season with 16 goals and 15 assists to his name with a 49% contribution towards Chelsea's goals.

At Chelsea it seems Hazard often had to do it all himself, but if Zidane's rebuild is successful the highly talented forward will have plenty of support at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Belgian will be presented by Real Madrid after the current global break and becomes their fourth signing for the new season after Luka Jovic, Rodrygo and Eder Militao.

Real Madrid have always been touted as the ultimate destination for Hazard.
