Zion Williamson has officially declared for 2019 NBA Draft

In a decision that will surprise no one, Duke forward Zion Williamson officially declared for the 2019 NBA Draft on Monday afternoon in an Instagram post.

In addition to those awards, Williamson won the ACC Freshman and Player of the Year, the AP Player of the Year, the Naismith Award, and was a consensus First Team All-American.

The projected No. 1 overall pick called his freshman year, "the best year of (his) life".

Williamson thanked a number of people in the video, including coach Mike Krzyzewski, his mother and Duke fans for their support.

Williamson was long thought to be leaving Duke after his freshman season, and once the Blue Devils were eliminated from the NCAA Tournament that speculation grew.

Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Xander Schauffele all received $858,667 for finishing right behind Woods in the standings. Caesars Entertainment sportsbooks were one of the few operations that reported a small win on the tournament.

Williamson is expected to be the No. 1 pick in the draft.

The world finds out where Williamson will very likely start his National Basketball Association career on May 14 for the NBA's Draft Lottery.

In 33 games for Duke this season, Zion Williamson was a man among boys.

Now, all that needs to be determined is who exactly will be picking first overall.

The New York Knicks (17-65), Phoenix Suns (19-63) and Cleveland Cavaliers (19-63) have the best odds to win the lottery and get the No. 1 pick, with the Chicago Bulls (22-60) and carrying the next best chance.
