Masters 2019: Bettor wins $1.19M on Tiger's comeback

The payout was the largest single golf ticket in the William Hill's US history and the biggest since the sportsbook paid out more than $4.5 million over three bets on the Eagles after they defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl 52 in February 2018.

What's even crazier? It was the first wager ever placed by the unidentified customer at William Hill, which will mark the occasion by presenting the bettor with his check in person Monday afternoon.

One American gambler who bet £65,000 on Tiger Woods to win the Masters collected William Hill's largest ever golf payout Sunday after the American secured an famous success. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, and Xander Schauffele all received $858,667 for finishing right behind Woods in the standings. Woods pocketed $2.07 million for his fifth Masters win, and 81st overall victory. The first three all came when the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII previous year.
