THE MANDALORIAN Panel Provided New Details On The Series

Star Wars Celebration 2019 wound down in a big way Sunday with our first look at The Mandalorian, Lucasfilm's very first live-action television series hitting Disney+ this fall.

The Mandalorian will launch with Disney+ on November 12.

The footage shown featured Pascal being recruited for a job by Rocky star Carl Weathers' character Greef Karga, who leads a guild of bounty hunters. Jon Favreau - the director of Iron Man, The Jungle Book and the upcoming Lion King - is executive producing and writing the Star Wars show.

The Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) in Lucasfilm's THE MANDALORIAN. Pedro Pascal will, of course, be The Mandalorian, but we did find out who his castmates will be.

Whatever happened between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens? "He hires this guy and sends him out there and the Mando does what needs to be done".

"In the production meeting there were only so many Stormtrooper costumes they had". The Mandalorian was in some kind of cantina-like space, sitting across from Greef. As part of the panel, a three-and-a-half minute behind-the-scenes reel aired exclusively to convention attendees.

The Kings have a ton of young talent and seem like an ideal fit for Walton, following his disappointing tenure in Los Angeles. A season in which new-Laker LeBron James was expected to carry the team to their first playoff appearance since 2013.

Carano is Kara Dune, "an ex-rebel shock trooper", who fought in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

Though we already knew Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will be home to some cutting edge animatronics, this past weekend Disney showed off the interactive Ithorianalien shopkeeper who will run the Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities gift shop.

Favreau: Mandalorians were my favorite characters.

"A never been told story during a never been seen timeframe", he says. Yes, CGI is far more flexible, but you can't beat the look of those practical effects as they just really age.

Are you excited to see the 501st get some screen time? We also saw footage of Carano pulling off some great stunts, and a line from Breaking Bad alum Giancarlo Esposito.

As new planets, new aliens, and new ships (including the Mandalorian's, the Razorcrest) will all debut during the show, it was paramount to include the familiar - which is one of the reasons why the Mandalorian himself is front and center with his iconic armor.
