The watch includes Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming and Livingston counties.

Multiple injuries were also reported in the town of Franklin, Texas where a large preliminary EF-3 tornado with winds of 140 miles per hour moved through the town on Saturday.

In East Texas, the Angelina County Sheriff's Office said an 8-year-old and a 3-year-old died when strong winds toppled a tree onto the back of their family's auto in Lufkin while it was in motion. The line was supposed to move across Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties around that time.

Heavy rain is expected to move through the tri-state area, but wind gusts will pick up by the afternoon.Thunder and lightning has been reported throughout parts of the region.

Downed trees and damage to buildings and a transmission tower were reported, said meteorologist Monique Sellers.

The sheriffs office from nearby Houston County told KLTV that one woman was found dead near her home on Highway 21 West.

A local group is heading to Alto and Franklin to help those impacted by a tornado and severe storms that swept through the state Saturday, killing two children.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said there are reports of trees down in the south part of Monroe County.

The biggest threat with the storms will be damaging winds with the possibility of a tornado.
