A Fire Broke Out At Campgrounds Near The Entrance To Coachella

A fire reportedly broke out early Saturday morning at the music festival in Indio, California around 2:06 am local time.

The popular music festival, held in the Palm Springs Desert, draws crowds from around the world yearly, allowing attendees to camp near the concert site. Luckily, as reported by Billboard, the fire resulted in no injuries or deaths.

Cue the Fyre Festival puns.

Still, the storm closed schools and government offices in both states and some schools delayed reopening Thursday morning. The National Weather Service reported that daily snowfall records had already fallen in La Crosse, Wausau and Green Bay.

Fire services said that they responded to the fire at around 2am after revellers said they hear an explosion. Firefighters on the scene were able to put out the fire. Officials said one nearby trailer was damaged and another one was destroyed by the flames.

Don't fret if you couldn't fork over a pile of Benjamins to gain access to the Coachella Festival this weekend. Following reports, the Riverside County Fire Department arrived to the scene around 2 a.m. and contained the fire by 2:28 a.m.
