3 more Boeing 737 Max flights canceled Thursday at Orlando International Airport

- All Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 9 jets have been grounded in the US after two deadly crashes.

Quoted in local media reports, Nimalsiri said that Sri Lanka was monitoring the situation closely but no such aircraft was overflying or landing in Sri Lanka at the moment.

Shares of Canadian airline operators fall one per cent after the country's decision to ground Boeing Co's 737 MAX jets. The investigation into what caused the Ethiopian Airlines crash is ongoing.

While aviation experts warn against drawing conclusions until more information emerges from the crash investigation, numerous jurisdictions - including China, Germany, the United Kingdom and the European Union - have grounded the Max 8 or banned it from their airspace.

South Korea's largest airline, Korean Air, announced it would be putting on hold plans to introduce Boeing 737 Max 8s into their fleet.

The incident occurred just after the October crash in Indonesia, which killed 189 people aboard a Boeing 737 Max 8 operated by Lion Air. "I'm happy that they did it, but I wish they would have done it Sunday right after the crash", Hensley said.

U.S. travel website Kayak was making changes to let customers exclude specific aircraft types from searches, and booking sites were looking to reroute passengers. All planes in the air at the time of the agency's order were allowed to reach their destinations but prohibited from taking off again, the FAA said in a statement.

On Wednesday morning, Transport Canada issued a safety notice effective immediately grounding the Boeing 737 Max fleet from departing or arriving in Canadian airspace.

"Our Boeing 737 MAX aircraft account for roughly 40 flights a day and through a combination of spare aircraft and rebooking customers, we do not anticipate a significant operational impact as a result of this order", wrote United in the statement.

Marc Garneau said that satellite data showed possible similarities between flight patterns of Boeing 737 Max planes operating in Canada and the Ethiopian Airlines plane that crashed.

Trump is calling the decision to ground the Max 8 and 9's more precautionary than mandatory, but Powell understands the reasoning for erring on the side of caution.
