White House not listening to Ocasio-Cortez's climate change remarks

Sanders, who hasn't given a briefing from the White House press room since December 18, said reporters have plenty of access to her, the president and other administration officials.

Trump tweeted on Tuesday that he told the press secretary "not to bother" with the briefings because she's "rudely and inaccurately" covered by the media.

There's a reason Sarah Sanders doesn't appear at press briefings that much anymore.

"I mean, he's the most accessible president in history, and most of the media in this room will tell you that", he added. "Most will never cover us fairly & hence, the term, Fake News!" "The president takes questions almost every single day from reporters".

But past press secretaries have said that the briefings serve a useful objective.

"Look, we are in the business of getting information to the American people", Huckabee Sanders said.

The White House briefing room, a keystone of modern presidential messaging, has been largely abandoned under Mr Trump.

The notion that Sanders isn't giving briefings because there's a "power struggle" preventing the White House from being able to express the most rudimentary (lying) opinions on things is a bit much.

White House press briefings grew increasingly rare over the course of 2018.

"Who cares?" Trump said at the time in response to the claim, as IJR Red reported.

"I do believe that he messed up in his comments Tuesday", Ryan said of the president during a televised town hall held nine days after the riot, "when it sounded like moral equivalency, or at the very least, moral ambiguity, when we need extreme moral clarity".

Sanders (pictured above left) has only held two briefings since November 27.

Ms Sanders said the President was referring to the overall revenue that would be raised from the deal.

During a Wednesday appearance on Fox and Friends, Huckabee Sanders responded to the WHCA statement, calling the idea that her team is inaccessible "absolutely laughable". "We're more than happy to take questions but we think that there should be a certain level of decorum and a certain level of honesty and responsibility that comes with that".

"But what we lose is someone standing before the media. the surrogates for the American public. and being asked questions about government policies, the White House and its staff, and whatever else the President is up to", McCurry wrote.
