National Football League moving Chiefs-Rams from Mexico City to Los Angeles

On Tuesday, the NFL announced the Kansas City Chiefs' Monday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Rams will no longer be played in Mexico City.

The Azteca hosted the first National Football League regular-season game ever held outside the United States in 2005, when the Arizona Cardinals beat the San Francisco 49ers.

Moving the game from Mexico City's Estadio Azteca to Los Angeles remains an option. 'Until very recently, we had no major concerns.

"If Monday night's game is played in Mexico City, a number of Rams and Chiefs players are now strongly considering not playing in that game on that messy surface, per sources".

Earlier in the day on Tuesday, before the NFL's announcement, word had leaked that some players on both sides for the Rams and Chiefs were considering not playing due to the playing surface, which could needlessly lead to injury.

Al menos 60 disparos fueron interceptados por el sistema de defensa antimisiles Cúpula de Hierro , otros cayeron en zonas deshabitadas y algunos hicieron impacto en estructuras civiles.

Azteca officials changed the playing surface from natural grass to a hybrid in May, but the turf hasn't been ideal for several months. That is, until Tuesday, when rumblings over field conditions at El Azteca Stadium began to grow.

The Rams will be providing thousands of complimentary tickets to first responders and those who have been affected by the recent tragedies in Southern California. The team will now return to Los Angeles on Saturday.

According to a study done, last year's game had a $45 million impact on the economy, and total domestic and worldwide tourist spending was $43 million, of which $32 million was incremental to Mexico City's economy. The Rams and Chiefs are two Super Bowl contenders with MVP caliber players.

The Rams are in the third of four seasons at the Coliseum before their new multi-billion-dollar stadium complex in Inglewood opens in 2020. The team had been practicing at altitude in Colorado in preparation for Monday's game in Mexico City.
