Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley's niece confirmed as victim in Thousand Oaks shooting

On Thursday morning, the couple posted on Twitter that they were searching for their niece, who had been missing since the shooting late Wednesday night that left at least 12 people dead, including a "hero" first responder.

According to other tweets from that same woman, a "handful of girls went to line dance" at the bar, and Mowry-Housley's niece was apparently the only one unaccounted for. "Can you please DM me your information?" the actress asked. The exchange is pretty heartbreaking.

Housley was last seen wearing denim shorts, "a blue flannel" and sneakers, the suitemate tweeted.

Alaina Housley, 18, was killed after suspected gunman Ian David Long, 28, opened fire upon a crowd at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks, Calif., authorities said.

After spending Thursday in search of her niece, Alaina Housley, the actress confirmed in a joint statement with husband Adam Housley that the college freshman had been killed.

"A guard didn't let him through, saying (the hospital) was on lockdown", Castillo said.

Adam has since taken to Twitter to ask his followers for prayers for his niece, who he described as "a handsome soul".

Struggling for words, Housley added, "She was a good girl. A attractive soul." Adam is an alumni of Pepperdine University, the university which Alaina was attending.

"My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead", he said. "We love you!" she wrote on Instagram.

Housley also spoke to the Los Angeles Times earlier today and said his niece's Apple Watch and iPhone's location still puts her at the bar.

"Staying positive and praying and hoping and wishing there was more I could do", Adam wrote on Twitter.

Tia Mowry, who starred with her twin in the TV show "Sister Sister", posted an image of a young Alaina between the two Mowry sisters at one of their weddings. "We love u! If you know anything of any information please let us know".
