No Grande-standing from Pete Davidson

No Grande-standing from Pete Davidson

In case you've been asleep for more than sixteen hours, the whole internet is talking about Grande's new single, "Thank U, Next".

The 25-year-old dropped a brand song titled "Thank U, Next" on Saturday night and it's safe to say it's an absolute bop!

From Detroit's Big Sean to back-up dancer Ricky Alvarez to her whirlwind romance and three month engagement with comedian Pete Davidson, Ariana Grande addresses them all and bids them adieu or is it shoo?

Earlier on Saturday, Grande told fans that "Thank U, Next" is also the title of a forthcoming album she's been working on.

Check out the lyrics inside... "Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh" she sings. Rather than being the sassy high-ponytailed kiss-off the title might suggest, "thank u, next" has a honest message of gratitude. While some might think her latest banger is a diss track, Grande instead shows that she is mature beyond her years by thanking her past partners for everything they have taught her.

Facebook also disclosed sophisticated attempts from Russian Federation to interfere with elections and promote political discord in the U.S.

Grande had met Davidson on the set of Saturday Night Live before the pair got together soon after. But the truth is, it's nobody's business.

The song continues: 'Even nearly got married, and for Pete I'm so thankful.

During the Season 44 SNL premiere, Davidson made several mentions of his relationship with Grande, including, "I got engaged and no one could believe it".

Prior to its release, Grande tweeted that her music would be the start of a "new chapter", characterised by "gratitude, growth, embracing our path bumps n all". That means that her singer pals tweeting out the name of the album was purely an act of support - not an announcement of some unstoppable super-group being on the way.

Davidson concluded the segment by urging people to vote on Tuesday.
