Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings Game Flexed into Prime Time

Chicago Bears vs Minnesota Vikings Game Flexed into Prime Time

Kickoff was originally scheduled for 2 p.m. CST on November 18 at Soldier Field.

Of course, with the Vikings and Bears being flexed into the Sunday night game, that means someone had to be flexed out.

Those include the Steelers' home games against the Chargers at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 and New England Dec. 16 at 4:25 p.m., and road games at Denver at 4 p.m. November 25 and New Orleans at 4:25 p.m. Dec. 23.

The Bears vs Vikings game replaces the 5-2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers at the 3-5 Jacksonville Jaguars, a rematch of last season's wild 45-42 AFC Divisional round matchup that propelled the upstart Jaguars into the AFC Championship game.

Willie Desjardins Named Head Coach; John Stevens Relieved of His Duties
Desjardins last coached at an elite level at the 2018 Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, leading Canada to a bronze medal. Stevens took over in 2017 after seven years as an assistant in Los Angeles under Terry Murray and Darryl Sutter.

The Vikings are now slated to have back-to-back Sunday night games.

When the Vikings (5-3-1) return from their bye, they'll be back in action against the Bears (5-3) and back in prime time.

More relevant in the second half of the season than the television networks predicted months ago, the Bears will be moved to primetime in two weeks. The advantage is the Bears have the Lions coming up this Sunday, so they should be well prepared for film study.

The NFL has made a few changes to its Week 11 schedule.
