Amazon: 2 contractors died in building collapse

A company official says a second person is dead after part of an Amazon distribution warehouse collapsed amid severe weather in Baltimore.

A 50-foot wall in the facility, located in southeast Baltimore, crumbled as a storm passed through the area, according to the Baltimore Sun. They recovered the body of a second man on Saturday, Clark said.

Two people were found dead under debris after a wall collapsed at an Amazon distribution center in Baltimore Friday night.

Another person is unaccounted for.

The attorney general described it as a "brazen scheme" to steal and clone technology in order to compete with the US. According to the indictment , the Taiwanese nationals downloaded more than 900 confidential files from Micron.

"I was standing inside the building and me and one of the facilities dudes were talking, and I went to the left side of the building and he went to the right, and all of a sudden, we just heard these loud noises".

If it turns out that it was, in fact, a tornado that touched down, the two Amazon Fulfillment Center deaths would be the first tornado-related deaths to be experienced in Maryland since 2002, according to the Sun. The National Weather Service confirmed Saturday that the city's storm damage resulted from an EF-1 tornado.

Dhazyah McCoy, who was finishing her shift when the severe weather started, told CBS Baltimore that it "sounded like bombs". No other injuries were reported.

The site was still an active scene as of Saturday afternoon, and an Amazon spokesperson told the paper that the building had been closed.
