Nance Jr. staying at home

Center-forward Larry Nance Jr. has signed a multiyear extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the team announced.

Nance averaged 8.9 points and 7.0 rebounds in 24 games last season. In 20 playoff games, he averaged 4.8 points and 4.5 rebounds.

"I haven't come up with the word for it yet", Nance told the Cleveland Plain Dealer on Monday.

"The only thing I didn't want was I didn't want to be with a team that was going to tank or not be competitive", Love said.

For the first time since arriving in Cleveland four years ago, Love is expected to play the role of Cavaliers' floor general - a position previously filled by a certain someone named LeBron James. "Surreal doesn't even cut it".

"Any part of the season you play against a good team, it's a big game, but to get them early, fresh start, good teams look at these games as statement games", said Toronto's Greg Monroe, who finished last season with the Celtics. I grew up here. I'm one of you guys.

The Los Angeles Lakers originally selected Nance out of Wyoming with the 27th pick in the 2015 draft.

In post-game interviews, the key cogs on this Cleveland roster impressed me with their mindset following a loss. "There's no place I would rather be".

The Toronto Raptors had fans from all over to join together to watch one of the most highly anticipated home openers in the franchise's 23 years of existence, with all eyes on newly acquired superstar talent, Kawhi Leonard, who made his debut. He helped Cleveland reach its fourth straight NBA Finals and the Cavs view him as one of their core players as they try to stay competitive while James starts anew out West with the Lakers. "His athleticism is off the charts and his positive attitude, work ethic and most importantly, his desire to be in Cleveland embodies all that we want out of our players both on and off the court".

"And Larry Nance Jr. and his family, who still live in Bath, said, 'Hey, let's make a deal to stay here'".

When Osman was asked by play-by-play announcer Fred McLeod if he was pleased with his own performance, Osman responded by saying "I mean, I'm not because we lost" (h/t the Cavs' Official Website).
