Arsenal Legend Insists Arsenal Are Right To Let Ramsey Leave

Paul Merson believes Arsenal are "all over the place" defensively and has warned Unai Emery that his side will be on the receiving end of a thrashing "sooner or later".

I think it's time for him to move on.

Sunday's 5-1 demolition of Fulham will have filled Arsenal fans with even more hope that they can prove themselves as a force to be reckoned with this year.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has urged his Arsenal FC teammates to maintain the mentality that has seen them bounce back from two opening defeats to win six successive Premier League games.

Summer signing Sokratis and German centre-back Shkodran Mustafi have been the preferred partnership in central defence for the Gunners this season but Merson is not convinced the pair have what it takes to keep Arsenal's good form going.

He scored 10 goals in his first 13 league games for the Gunners to continue his impressive goal scoring record in senior football, and it has continued into this season.

The former midfielder has been harsh in his assessment of the team's ability and firmly believes they are due a thrashing.

Netflix Releases ‘Making A Murderer Part 2’ Trailer
And this forms the basis for the second season of Making a Murderer which will premiere on Netflix on October 19 of this year. Cue the dramatic music, courthouse montages and teases of potential new evidence that could break open the whole case.

"The one thing that gets them out of trouble is that they're always going to score goals".

'But defensively, they are just not good enough'.

However, the team will be going on break to their respective countries for the global assignment and they will be returning to face Leicester City on October 22.

Head coach Unai Emery lost his first two games in charge - to champions Manchester City and London rivals Chelsea - but since then his team has been flawless.

Aubmeyang, also a sub, scored twice, as did Alexandre Lacazette as the win moved Arsenal into fourth above Tottenham on goals scored, two points off the three way leaders Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
