Cardiff manager takes aim at 'poor' Kane

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has criticised England captain Harry Kane for his role in Joe Ralls' sending off in the 1-0 defeat by Tottenham.

Eric Dier's first Tottenham goal since April 2017 put the hosts in front after eight minutes.

Davinson Sanchez won a header following a cross by England full back Kieran Trippier and, as the ball became stuck under the feet of Cardiff's Joe Bennett, Dier showed a striker's instinct to thrash the ball into the net.

Cardiff's chances of getting something from the game were reduced considerably when midfielder Ralls was dismissed in the 58th minute for a challenge on Lucas Moura.

"We can play better and we need to play better if we want to be a contender at the end to be in the top four". "Some things happen in private life but the important thing is to stay focused on my work, it's not easy to come back to play in these games without having played in the others, but I tried to do my best, the important thing is to be back on the pitch and get back to the best level possible".

"Maybe we [would be] talking now in a different way and sure it would be a drama to draw against Cardiff [when they have] one player less".

He had said earlier he was headed to Port-de-Paix and another quake-hit city, Gros-Morne, about 50 kilometers to the southeast. In the town of Gros-Morne, one bed was covered in rubble, while the exterior walls of some homes were visibly cracked.

"He (Kane) is doing that to make an issue of it".

Spurs have largely stumbled through the last five weeks and now have been hit by the injury but just as their schedule gets tough.

"We played after the defeat against Barcelona and always it's so hard - of course I'm happy because of the victory - but I think we can play better and we need to play better if we want to be a contender in the end for the top four".

"But I am happy to finish and to go into the global break with 18 points, one point to the top is fantastic".

"I understand if they complain about the situation", Pochettino added.

The visitors disputed the dismissal but despite being a man light, an equaliser nearly arrived soon afterwards with Lloris having to tip a Morrison header onto the post. We need to kill the games. He shows a lot of passion. "I think it was cynical".
