CNN Reads Out Disturbing Threats Kavanaugh’s Wife Has Received

A classmate who corroborated California psychologist Christine Blasey Ford's allegation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her back in high school retreated from her claims on Thursday because she "had no idea that I would now have to go to the specifics and defend" them.

The message and positive tone of the attorney's email breathed new life into the possibility that the panel would hold a dramatic hearing at which both Ford and Kavanaugh could give their versions of what happened at a party in the 1980s in a Maryland suburb of Washington.

Democrats are not participating in the Judiciary Committee's interviews.

Ford has said she wants the FBI to investigate her claim that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her at a high school party in the 1980s.

In a separate tweet Wednesday, Grassley wondered why Democrats are calling for an FBI investigation now instead of when they first received Ford's letter containing the allegation.

"I've said from the beginning that these are very serious allegations and she deserves to be heard", Collins said.

Back in 1991, however, the FBI did investigate sexual harassment claims against then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas.

In a letter to Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, the committee's chairman Chuck Grassley sought a non-redacted version of the original correspondence Ford sent to her about the alleged incident, CNN reported.

The development further roiled a confirmation process that once seemed smooth for Kavanaugh, whose confirmation to the lifetime post could consolidate the conservative grip on the top USA court. Chuck Grassley, who faced criticism that Monday's hearing was scheduled without Ford's input and seemed to be a strong-arm tactic to pressure her, wrote to her attorneys yesterday offering to have committee staffers interview Ford in California if she preferred.

The Senate Judiciary Committee, which is overseeing the nomination, had called a hearing for Monday to examine the matter, and the White House had said Kavanaugh was ready to testify. Hirono said the threats, brought on by her outing, constitute being labeled as "intimidation of a witness". "She wishes to testify, provided that we can agree on terms".

BLACK PANTHER's Ryan Coogler Joins LeBron's SPACE JAM Sequel
The current expectation is filming for the " Space Jam " will not being until the 2019 National Basketball Association offseason. Rumors of a second Space Jam movie have circled the internet for years , often mentioning James as the choice to replace Jordan.

Perhaps they hope that the longer they string this out, the more unlikely it will be for the president to restrain his Twitter finger and that he will say something to outrage women voters.

Kavanaugh was spotted at the White House Thursday, and allies say he is eager to address the accusation and will be prepared to address the committee Monday.

The official says the threats were made in emails to Kavanaugh's wife, Ashley, and came from one person.

We are talking about a lifetime appointment here, and if Blasey is telling the truth and Kavanaugh has lied, there is absolutely no way he should be confirmed.

President Donald Trump continued to stand by Kavanaugh on Wednesday and downplayed the notion he would have the Federal Bureau of Investigation look into her allegations.

On Twitter, Grassley said committee "investigators are following up on the leads from Dr. Ford's allegations" and that "no other OUTSIDE investigation is necessary".

Sen. John Cornyn, a member of the Senate Republican leadership, appeared to cast doubt on Ford's allegations.

Clinton says that makes it hard to "avoid the appearance of insult" against Ford.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, has asked Ford's attorneys to respond by 10 a.m. Friday on whether she plans to appear before his panel at a hearing planned for Monday.
