Pep Guardiola hopes to finish career with Barcelona youth teams

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to return to Barcelona before he ends his coaching career to take charge of the B team once more.

Guardiola, 47, in his third season at City, took over Barca's B team in 2007 before being promoted to the senior side a year later.

Guardiola won three LaLiga titles, two Champions Leagues and two Club World Cups in a memorable four years before enjoying similar levels of success with Bayern Munich.

"My last steps will be in the youth teams and I hope at Barcelona, I believe to end with is the best, " Pep Guardiola explained according to the report on Daily Star UK. "Hopefully, it will be Barca's".

Guardiola, who has previously ruled out a return to the Camp Nou, seems to have changed his tune in the past couple of months, having now said he would like to make his way back to the Catalan club, but this time to work in youth structures, before he retires.

His contract with City expires at the end of the 2020-21 season.
