Sanchez injury update ahead of Manchester United's clash against Tottenham next week

Manchester United midfielder Alexis Sanchez has been reportedly omitted from the Red Devils' squad that will be facing Brighton and Hove Albion in the English Premier League on Sunday.

Pogba impressed in the 2-1 win over Leicester, but all of that has now been forgotten after the fallout from United's 3-2 defeat away at Brighton on Sunday.

"His negative style does not fit in with the expansive football that United fans want".

Former United star Lee Sharpe reckons Mourinho, who has also had problems with Paul Pogba, is living on borrowed time at United and will be gone by Christmas.

Woodward believes United have made a long term investment in someone who is still just 22 - and that agreeing to sell him now would come close to admitting the club made a huge mistake. "For me that's the story of the game", he told the BBC. We made incredible mistakes in some crucial moments.

United will host Tottenham Hotspur next, with Mauricio Pochettino's side likely to have been encouraged by the performance of Mourinho's men on the south coast.

"Especially that third goal - we expected to come [in at half-time] at 2-1 with positivity - then the third goal killed us off in the second half. There are basic mistakes that makes it nearly an impossible mission to win the match".

"There's times where he struggled with his fitness and he's played in games not 100% fit".

Israel Folau Lifted Above Horizontal But No Card For The All Blacks
He was overlooked for the first Bledisloe, but will have this week's training in New Zealand to state his case to claim Folau's No.15 jersey.

He said: "I don't know really". But hey, it's too early in the season.

"Will Hughes scored an outstanding goal, I am happy for all of them".

Both played against Brighton and had a horror showing against the Seagulls, evidencing United's issues in defence. Martial was adapting to the speed of the Premier League, and put in a number of impressive performances, despite the goals column perhaps not suggesting he was contributing enough. "They had more anger than us and that showed on the pitch", Pogba told Sky Sports.

"I will always try". We tried to push and push, we kept trying, but it was a bit too late. "It didn't happen today".

"There is nothing wrong with being direct but this is Manchester United, arguably the biggest club in the world, playing football that was played by teams from a lower league 30 or 40 years ago", he added.

"Maybe we didn't have the attitude to break them, to kill them when we had to kill them and to go through the lines".

"At the end of November, December you will have an idea if we can compete", he said.

"My attitude wasn't right, the team's attitude wasn't right and they were hungrier than we were", Paul Pogba admitted.
