Free 2018 World Cup Update coming to Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 on May 29

It's barely more than a month till the real World Cup starts in Russian Federation, but things will begin a few weeks early in FIFA 18 as EA unveil the game's free World Cup mode.

The playable Ultimate Team modes confirmed for the World Cup are: single player & online tournament, single player & online draft and squad building challenges.

Lovers of the attractive game rejoice, the days of creating custom worldwide cup tournaments are over. What country would you like to see win the World Cup in 2018? You can also play online or offline as you prefer. EA has announced Federation Internationale de Football Association 18 will be getting a batch of officially-licensed World Cup content at the end of May. It will also have all 12 World Cup stadiums in Russian Federation, all the World Cup teams and you can even play with nations that failed to qualify, like the United States, Italy, the Netherlands and Chile. This year, that list includes the likes of four-time winners Italy, Chile, USA and, obviously, Scotland (I say, sobbing into my tartan scarf).

It said the death toll could rise as the attack also wounded 60 fighters and there were several others still missing. In Iran, there were conflicting reports on the casualties and on whether Iranian assets were struck.

What's happening in Ultimate Team?

But for those who don't want to wait until then to enjoy World Cup action, EA Sports is here to help them out. All 12 official stadiums from the upcoming event in Russian Federation will also be included.

For those looking to set up a World Cup match quickly, a special kick-off mode will be enable you to use the official players and kits in the authentic stadium atmospheres in the World Cup. The new content was revealed with a video featuring cover athlete Cristiano Ronaldo, who will appear for Portugal at the upcoming tournament in Russian Federation.

It's been heavily rumoured for a while, with several leaked images pointing towards it, but it's now official that a EA Sports FIFA World Cup game is coming to all good consoles.
