Congress 'throttling' democracy, 'abusing' people's mandate, says PM Modi

Congress 'throttling' democracy, 'abusing' people's mandate, says PM Modi

The Congress is scheduled to hold a day-long nationwide fast to protest against the Narendra Modi government and to promote communal harmony and peace across the country. He said that the Congress was "throttling" democracy and "abusing" people's mandate.

Protesting near Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Parliament complex, Union ministers blamed the Congress for disrupting proceedings in both the Houses on a day when the washed out second leg of the Budget Session came to an end.

However, the Congress was duty bound to not let the Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) succeed in its evil plans, Surjewala said.

Modi asks party MPs to protest on April 12; Rahul fixes April 9 date.

Taking a dig at Modi's 2014 poll campaign around "Chai pe charcha" and his monthly radio broadcast "Mann ki Baat, ' the Congress spokesperson asked the Prime Minister to engage in a "charcha" (discussion) with his own party's Dalit MPs to listen to their 'Mann ki Baat". He said he continued with his speech for over 90 minutes for the sake of democracy amid relentless protests by opposition MPs, according to sources.

"He told them to pick at least one village with over 50 percent population of SCs".

Atletico Madrid to speed up Oblak new contract talks
Real Madrid remain without the injured Nacho Fernandez and may also choose to rest Raphael Varane , per Marca's J. He said that despite playing less first team football, his relationship with coach Diego Simeone was "normal".

He also stressed on the need for all MPs to organise events to mark the birth anniversary of Bhimrao Ambedkar, a Dalit icon, on, asserting that it is mandatory for them to do so, sources said.

The Congress attack on the government and the BJP comes at a time when the ruling party's Dalit MPs Udit Raj, Savitri Bai Phule, Chhote Lal Kharwar, Ashok Kumar Dohre and Yashwant Singh have written to Modi to express anguish over alleged ill-treatment of the SCs/STs.

He said the Congress had been continuously highlighting the plight of these weaker sections, but the "hypocrite BJP leadership seems to be busy playing with fire by deliberately dividing society".

"You would have seen that the opposition (to Modi government) is becoming more intense and angrier". It has risen due to its work for the nation's development.

This is nothing but "vote bank", appeasement, pleasing politics of Modi and Amit Shah-led BJP. It is not because we made a mistake.
