Blazers fan has words for Kevin Durant, gets ejected

With Stephen Curry out with an ankle injury, Durant scored 40 on the Blazers - but Portland ran away with the game in the fourth quarter to win 125-108.

Portland led for much of the game but the Warriors used their customary third quarter run to take a six-point lead.

Also a reminder that we'll be recording a live edition of the Rip City Report Tuesday, March 13 at Tough Luck Bar (1771 NE Dekum NE Portland) at 6 p.m. Food and drink specials, an NBA Jam arcade game with all proceeds going to Doernbecher and whatever Blazers swag I can manage to part with.

The game was riddled with Golden State mistakes. The Blazers won the rebounding battle decisively, 46-33.

Lillard didn't have one of his best shooting nights as he hit 8-of-21 but he still finished with 28 points.

Serena Williams makes winning return after 14 months away
Williams then broke her opponent again en route to winning the final five games in front of the half-full stadium. All in all, the 23-time major victor is glad to be back on the job with a new husband and 6-month-old baby.

LeBron James scored 25 points with 10 rebounds and 6 assists for Cleveland, whose lead over Washington and IN for 3rd place IN the East is now just half a game.

The Warriors play again on Sunday in Minnesota where they'll be without Curry, who stayed in the Bay Area for the short two-game road trip to treat his sprained ankle. The Trail Blazers were the last team to beat the Warriors, a win that game on Valentines day - the final game before both teams started their All-Star Break.

The good news for Golden State: The Rockets had their recent winning streak snapped at 17 Friday in Toronto.

The Oregon-based outfit is third in the Western Conference, one place below the Warriors, and could potentially meet the defending champions in the second round of the playoffs.
