Bangladesh PM congratulates Deb on becoming Tripura CM

Following a massive political sweep in Tripura, newly-elected Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday assumed office in Agartala.

Modi walked to rival former chief minister Manik sarkar and asked to help the new inexperienced government with his vast experience and guidance.

"I work in a private firm". While addressing swearing-in ceremony at the Assam Rifles ground in Agartala, he said, " The central government will provide you full support in the march towards development with the motto of cooperative federalism defined in the constitution.

A long-time RSS volunteer, Deb (48) said his efforts would be to bring a greater progress for the people of Tripura.

He said that Biplab Kumar Deb who took oath as the new Chief Minister of Tripura today lauded the role taken by party leaders and workers of BJP, Manipur Pradesh.
