State Police: 5 Killed In Shooting At Pennsylvania Car Wash

By Sunday afternoon, the question of what sparked the shooting was still unanswered.

At least 5 people are dead after a shooting in Fayette County early Sunday morning, according to state police. One person was injured.

Police said suspected shooter Tim Smith was on life support at a hospital after the shooting at Ed's Car Wash around 3 a.m.in the Melcroft community of Saltlick Township, about 55 miles (89 kilometers) southeast of Pittsburgh. WPXI-TV reports they spoke with family members.

Police have affirmed three guys and two females were murdered.

Pennsylvania State Trooper Trooper Broadwater said a motive for the shooting had not yet been identified.

Pittsburgh television station WPXI reported the dead as three men and two women, but state police declined to confirm that information. Four of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while another died at a hospital. Multiple weapons were found at the scene, he said.

An injured person was taken to a hospital, but it's not clear if that person was shot, police said. "The victims have not been identified yet". He said two bodies were found in a pickup and two others on the vehicle wash parking lot.
